UX, Micro-copywriting and User Testing
We worked on the UX Writing due to the Micro copy presentation.
We developed our app, improved UX and conduct user testing.
Finding from the User Testing:
• At first glance - there are subjects who did not understand the essence of the application at first glance, because the first screen went too fast. Therefore, the essence of the application should be emphasized at the outset. In addition, add the usage context, in terms of the travel tool: electric bicycle / scooter maybe using an image to have a clear context by using the visuals.
• Charging screen - Some of the subjects did not have time to read the entire text and said it had a lot of text. A suggestion for improvement - to move the percentage to the beginning so that app usage motivation is generated. And add to the loading screen a graph that fills / lengthens the screen loading time / shorten the text. Another suggestion - to divide the information: to say that we are looking first, on the loading screen and then on the screen of the map: to view the statistics of the number of accidents.
• The app itself reminded users of waze, google maps, and bird.
• Paths: green and red. It is obvious to participants that there are two ways to choose between them. But the possibility of choosing between the tracks was not clear to all subjects (by pressing the track).
A comment made by one of the subjects: "The green path is longer than red, is it because it is safer?" A suggestion for improvement - add on the red track: except for the color to add as the thumb goes down to emphasize that you should not choose it.
Accident icons on the runways - One patient asked: "Accidents represent where accidents or hazards"? - that is, the user does not associate it is related to the accident history, the data. Suggestion for improvement - the icons of the accidents will be shown only on the red track, to avoid a problem of double message or to download the accident icons completely from the map.
• Map navigation screen - suggestion for improvement: ETA: to emphasize that the time is the arrival time and not the current time. An improvement suggestion - an indication that asks the user if everything is fine and whether he or she is managing if the app detects slowdown, stop, or error.
• Stop screen - users understood that the detainee should be pressured to see the map. The users understood that the detainee was designed because we care about the safety of the driver. A suggestion for improvement - to highlight the possibility of the speaker, move it more up the screen, make the detainee hold rather than a single click.
• Flow - The subjects claimed that the flow is understandable and comfortable in terms of order of action.
